PR & Marketing Intern

■ Business Description
Startbahn is a leading Japanese art tech company aiming to enrich society by providing the technology needed by artists and all those involved in the art, culture, and creative industries. Startbahn operates Startrail, a sustainable and scalable blockchain infrastructure that assures the reliability, authenticity, and traceability of works.

We are now looking for somebody who can assist with public relations related activities. This person will help build Startbahn’s awareness and branding in both the domestic and international market, promoting our products in the cross sections of art and blockchain. This is an hourly paid internship.

■ Responsibilities
PR Outreach

  • Develop and execute internal communication initiatives in partnership with teams across the organization.
  • Responsible for assisting with communication, planning, and day-of-work support for media (TV, magazines, newspapers, web media, etc.) and events, as well as for sending out on-demand media and press releases.
  • Write and develop messaging around various topics, including organization and company strategy, priorities, product launches and announcements.
  • In addition, we may also ask you to translate the documents for domestic and international markets.

    SNS operation
  • The marketing specialist intern will be involved with planning, executing, and measuring the performance of marketing campaigns across our various channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, corporate blog).
  • You will help develop and drive marketing content using tools such as Iconosquare and Canva.

    ■ Required Skills and Experience
  • English language skills at an internal communication level (English will be the official language of the company)
  • Native level of Japanese language skills
  • Social media user is desirable - Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok
  • Comfortable creating documentation (Google Docs, Google Spreadsheet, Google Slides, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Notion, etc.)
  • Good to have: prior Slack, Zoom, Google Meets, Google Calendar experience
  • Comfortable working fully remote

    ■ Qualifications
  • Somebody who takes initiative is highly desired
  • The ideal candidate will be innovative, team oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change, and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Ideally someone with demonstrated history of successful demand generation across media channels
  • Ability to think and act strategically and tactically
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Solid organizational skills, including prioritization and time management
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to summarize and communicate important data

    ■ Scope of Work

Minimum of 3 days per week, 20 hours per week.
