Startbahn Collaborates With TRiCERA, a Global Platform for Contemporary Art, for a Global Market Expansion

TRiCERA, Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Tai Iguchi; hereinafter "TRiCERA") and Startbahn, Inc. (Bunkyo-Ku, Tokyo; CEO: Taihei Shii; hereinafter "Startbahn") are pleased to announce that they have agreed to work together to expand into the global art market.



■ Background

TRiCERA believes that creativity knows no borders and provides an online platform that allows artists from Japan, Asia, and beyond to show and sell their work. It aims to help artists develop their careers globally by providing a fully equipped platform that includes language translation, payment, and delivery functions, which can be a hurdle for artists working beyond their home countries.

Startbahn, on the other hand, centers around the concept of "Art x Technology" and focuses on building an infrastructure to support the distribution of art, including the management of artworks' certificates and their history using blockchain technology. We aim to create a world where artworks can be traded and used more securely and smoothly.

TRiCERA and we have now joined forces with the primary focus of supporting the overseas expansion of artists. "Cert.", a Blockchain Certificate with an IC Tag provided by Startbahn, will enable artists using TRiCERA to ensure the authenticity of their work and manage their provenance. It guarantees the authenticity of artworks, which ascends the previous support of translation, payment, and delivery. We will provide a new form of support to artists globally.


■ "Cert." will be attached to works on TRiCERA.NET

Works on TRiCERA.NET will be accompanied by "Cert." provided by Startbahn Cert.

Cert. will enable the owner of the work to view the artwork's basic information and its provenance. Also, the blockchain mechanism prevents the falsification of data; it guarantees a higher degree of authenticity than paper certificates.

Cert. also allows artists to set their own rules for the trade and use of their work. When a piece with Cert. is resold, the ruleset will be applied automatically, and the artists can receive the royalty-type revenues.
