Startbahn and Yomiuri Giants are teaming up to bring NFT collectibles to baseball fans. Startbahn will provide FUN FAN NFT to power the famed team's NFT for fans at pre-season spring camp.

Startbahn Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Taihei Shii, hereinafter Startbahn) will provide FUN FAN NFT, Startbahn’s QR-to-NFT web app, to the Yomiuri Giants Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Owner: Juichi Yamaguchi, hereinafter Yomiuri Giants). FUN FAN NFT makes it easy for visitors to collect NFTs by scanning QR codes without the need for a crypto wallet or setup. This spring, the Yomiuri Giants will hold NFT events at two spring training camps in Miyazaki and Okinawa Prefectures, from Feb 1st to Feb 14th and Feb 16th to Feb 28th 2023 respectively. The NFTs will feature the Giants’ mascot, Giabbit, and fans will have the chance to enter token-gated raffles for special prizes.


■ About the Spring Camp Giabbit NFT Event

The Yomiuri Giants baseball team is utilizing Startbahn’s FUN FAN NFT to offer NFT collectibles celebrating their mascot, Giabbit, during their pre-season spring camp. The NFT event will take place in Miyazaki Prefecture and Okinawa Prefecture from February 1st to February 14th and February 16th to February 28th, 2023, respectively. There will be 8 designated locations in each prefecture where fans can collect NFTs, including the stadium where the Giants practice and other tourist areas and commercial facilities within the camp grounds. Most of the NFTs will be available for free, but some will only be accessible for those who purchase from the Giants' limited-time pop-up shop, "GIANTS STORE SPRING CAMP." Collecting 3 or more NFTs in either prefecture will earn fans 1 entry into the Giants' Garapon lottery, and those who gather all 8 NFTs will receive 2 entries. The lottery prizes include signed team memorabilia, opening day tickets to see the Giants play, official merchandise, and local specialties from the prefecture. To participate in the Garapon lottery, fans must register for a free Giants ID and present their collected NFT collection screen and Giants ID mobile membership card at the lottery venue.
