Startbahn, Inc. (head office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Taihei Shii; hereinafter referred to as "Startbahn"), together with Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Koji Hoshino; hereinafter referred to a “Odakyu Dentestu”) and the Shimokitazawa Merchants Association, will hold Moon Art Night Shimokitazawa 2023, a moon-themed art festival in the vibrant neighborhood of Shimokitazawa, from Saturday September 16th, to Sunday October 1st, 2023. After last year's inaugural festival, which attracted approximately 320,000 visitors, this year's event aims to further foster community-building in Shimokitazawa. As part of the event, Startbahn is deploying an updated version of FUN FAN NFT, which will be used for the NFT stamp rally in collaboration with local stores and facilities, and for the bonus distribution programme targeted to last year's festival visitors. In addition, paid NFT tickets will be available for admission to specific exhibitions and public programs, making NFT technology easier and more convenient to use for those who have not yet been exposed its unique qualities and joys. For smooth implementation, Startbahn has significantly improved FUN FAN NFT with new features, including the ability to sell NFTs with fees and to distribute rewards to NFT holders.

Moon Art Night Shimokitazawa 2023 will introduce five art installations throughout the neighborhood of Shimokitazawa, including last year's popular moon and rabbit installations. In addition to an original NFT stamp rally, which will take participants through the cityscape of Shimokitazawa and the popular avatar "Metaani," 50 public programs are scheduled to take place during the festival dates, including limited unique menus created by store owners and special events to enliven the city with art. Furthermore, the festival offers paid NFT tickets for specific spaces and experiences, making it easier for those who have never experience NFT technology to discover its ease and joy of use. ■ Overview of Programme Using FUN FAN NFT
In addition to last year's NFT stamp rally, Startbahn's FUN FAN NFT will be deployed for NFT ticket holders to enter fee-based spaces.
1 NFT stamp rally
As part of the NFT stamp rally, visitors will be able to earn 10 types of original NFTs, which are unique collaboration of the 3D avatar "Metaani" NFT with popular landmarks of Shimokitazawa such as “The Suzunari” theatre and with new urban scenery developed in its surrounding areas such as "Shimokita Rail Road" and "Mikan Shimokita". A special digital artwork NFT will also premiere a collaboration between Metaani and a landscape of the Odakyu Line running on tracks that can no longer be seen today. QR codes will be placed throughout Shimokitazawa in a well-balanced layout to engage NFT stamp rally participants. All festival visitors will be able to acquire NFTs by scanning these QR codes and collect tokens on the festival’s dedicated FUN FAN NFT website. We aim for visitors to treat the NFT stamp rally as a treasure hunt around the city.
- NFT stamp rally participation is free of charge.

2 NFT ticket (token gate) to enter paid spaces
NFT tickets will be available on the festival’s ticket website from September 1st, and will allow visitors the following four activities;

■ Overview of FUN FAN NFT and the Update for the Event
【What is FUN FAN NFT?】
FUN FAN NFT is an NFT marketing solution that connects the real world and digital world with QR codes. Instead of going through complex NFT-specific registration processes, users can simply scan QR codes to collect NFTs with a very quick and user-friendly experience. Event organizers can connect and build relationships with their respective communities in industries of art, entertainment, tourism, and more. The app is operated by Startbahn and utilizes Startrail, a blockchain infrastructure built for the arts.

【FUN FAN NFT Upgrades 】
We are launching major updates to the FUN FAN NFT application to provide an even broader NFT experience to festival vistors. Two major new features include:
(1) Paid NFT Sales Function
In addition to FUN FAN NFT’s existing distribution of free NFTs, we are now making it possible to sell NFTs through our platform. Event organizers can sell NFTs in legal tender without coding or development, and users can purchase NFTs with credit cards just as they would on a regular e-commerce site.

(2) NFT Tickets to Distribute Benefits to NFT Holders
Event organizers can now distribute and sell NFT tickets (NFTs with benefits) to their visitors or automatically gift NFT tickets as a stamp rally-completion reward. Users who receive NFT tickets can redeem their benefits at various stores and facilities by presenting their acquired QR code (see image below). These QR codes will be generated for each NFT and displayed at the bottom of the user’s FUN FAN NFT page. The ability to set the maximum number of times NFT tickets can be used will encourage event visitors to claim benefits at multiple stores and facilities. Stores and facilities will also be able to check and erase NFT ticket QR codes without logging into the FUN FAN NFT application, allowing for smooth introduction to stores and facilities. Moreover, the system can be used to analyze user data by knowing who used their claimed rewards, when and where.
To prevent unauthorized use of QR codes on NFT tickets, FUN FAN NFT uses dynamic QR codes. For the same NFT, the QR code will change every time a user visits their page. The QR code is also reloaded periodically while users stay on their page. Each time the page is reloaded, the QR code changes to prevent unauthorized copying or transferring.

Other improvements include UI improvements, English language support, and a dashboard to make event registration easier for event organizers.
