Startbahn Provides Startrail PORT to Apparel Brand “YOKE” Operated by toogood inc. Startrail PORT to Support Digital Product Passport (DPP) Implementation Going Forward

Startbahn, Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Taihei Shii; hereinafter “Startbahn”) has provided its blockchain infrastructure Startrail, which ensures the trust, authenticity, and value continuity of artworks, to limited-edition items by the apparel brand YOKE, operated by oogood inc. (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo).

This is the first time Startrail has been deployed in the apparel industry. Moving forward, Startbahn will expand its scope from supporting artwork authenticity to also assisting the implementation of Digital Product Passports (DPP).



■ Overview of Startrail Implementation

Startrail was introduced in YOKE’s first flagship store, opened on October 19 in Aoyama, Tokyo, and applied to exclusive store-only items. It enables a hybrid digital-physical purchase experience.

This initiative was made possible through a partnership with UPDATER Inc. (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo), a company promoting transparent and sustainable lifestyles. Startbahn’s Startrail PORT (a web-based application for using Startrail) has been integrated into UPDATER’s TADORi CHAiN – Tsunagu for Fashion, a platform that supports sustainability and transparency in the apparel industry. This system was then adopted by YOKE.

“TADORi CHAiN – Tsunagu for Fashion” supports brands responding to the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation and Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Guidelines for environmental disclosures in the textile/apparel sector. Through Startrail, the DPP issued for YOKE products includes details like:

• Brand/manufacturer identity
• Product history (sales, repairs, appraisals)
• Terms for secondary use or resale

Due to the immutable nature of blockchain, none of this data can be deleted, falsified, or duplicated.

Startrail is designed to preserve the authenticity and provenance of products. NFTs issued on Startrail record a wide range of metadata, including exhibitions, trades, repairs, and appraisals.

Startbahn aims to expand this scope by also visualizing supply chain data prior to product completion, enhancing DPP functionality across both the production and post-sale lifecycle.
