Startbahn to Host “Moon Art Night Shimokitazawa 2025” Again — FUN FAN NFT to Be Used in the Official Audio Guide Connecting Exhibited Works and Local Stores

Startbahn, Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Taihei Shii; hereinafter “Startbahn”) will co-host the art festival “Moon Art Night Shimokitazawa 2025,” themed on the “moon,” together with Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeru Suzuki; hereinafter “Odakyu”) and the Shimokitazawa Merchants’ Association (Chairman: Yoichiro Naganuma). The event will take place from Friday, September 19 to Sunday, October 5, 2025, across the Shimokitazawa area.

This art festival has been held annually since 2022 and celebrates its 4th edition this year. The event was launched with the aim of connecting Shimokitazawa’s diverse culture and communities through art, further establishing it as a “cultural crossroads” and creating new value and vibrancy. It has become a local tradition that enlivens Shimokitazawa in the autumn, offering enjoyment for all ages.

As part of initiatives connecting exhibited works and local facilities, an official audio guide will be provided as “walking content.” Startbahn’s FUN FAN NFT will be utilized for these initiatives, aiming to give even those unfamiliar with NFTs a simple and accessible way to experience the unique fun of NFT technology.




■ Overview of “Moon Art Night Shimokitazawa 2025”

On autumn nights dedicated to the arts, visitors can enjoy outdoor installation works themed on the moon, exhibitions by three artist groups, a theme song by local musicians, and a newly commissioned immersive theater performance “Neko-machi” by daisydoze.

As a new initiative this year, participants themselves will move through the city and venues, watch live performances before their eyes, and join the work as part of the story. In addition, as part of Shimokita’s musical culture, local artist Manatsu Nagahara has written the theme song “Moonlight” for the festival. Symbolizing memory and wishes in the light of the moon, the song evokes enduring scenery and feelings amid the changing Shimokitazawa. It will be broadcast in local shopping streets during the festival and performed live on September 26 at Shimokita Senrogai “Akichi.”

The festival is designed to support regional players in promoting local appeal and creating vibrancy. Following last year’s event, which attracted approximately 500,000 visitors (based on smartphone location data from KDDI Location Analyzer), this marks the 4th edition.

  ■ Overview of Initiatives Using FUN FAN NFT
  
  As part of initiatives connecting exhibited works and facilities around town, an official audio guide will be offered (paid) as a “walking-around-the-town content.” These initiatives will make use of Startbahn’s FUN FAN NFT. In addition to explanations of exhibited works, participants will be able to enjoy audio content that lets them experience Shimokita culture more deeply while touring local spots—such as music, theater, and vintage clothing.
  
  Participants will first be given a wristband. By scanning the QR code attached to the wristband, they can obtain the first audio guide. After that, scanning QR codes installed at each exhibition venue and around town will grant them access to exclusive audio content. In addition to introductions to art works, they will hear the voices of cultural figures they can only encounter in this town.
