FUN FAN NFT Comes to Matsuya Ginza’s Christmas Market. Limited editions NFTs from a Nebuta master will be available exclusively at Tokyo’s Matsuya Ginza for the Christmas season

From December 10th to December 25th, visitors to Matsuya Ginza can scan-to-collect a limited-edition “Nebuta” NFT with FUN FAN NFT.



From December 10th to 25th 2022, a Christmas Market will be held on every floor of department store Matsuya Ginza, including charity sales and festive Christmas events. “Nebuta” art works will be featured throughout Matsuya Ginza, with the basement level show windows featuring limited edition "Nebuta" NFTs that visitors can collect using FUN FAN NFT.

■ About the "Nebuta" limited edition NFTs

The Aomori Nebuta Festival is a traditional large festival held every summer in Aomori Prefecture. It originated in the ancient ritual of "Nemuri Nagashi," a ceremony to ward off the fatigue of farm work. The "Nebuta" is a traditional and nationally important folk heritage that takes a full year from conception to completion by master craftspeople. This year at Matsuya Ginza will feature the “Nebuta” art work by Asako Kitamura, the first female Nebuta master.



This time, Matsuya Ginza will be decorated with "Nebuta" animals that have come to Tokyo to deliver Christmas presents. Along with the “Nebuta” NFT animals, a “Nebuta” NFT of "Susanoo-no-mikoto,” a kami from Japanese mythology, will also be on available and on the work will be on display at the basement level show window of Matsuya Ginza.
