Startbahn, the leader in empowering the art market with blockchain technology, partners with SBI NFT (formerly known as SmartApp), a subsidiary of SBI Holdings, to expand NFT business.


■ SBI Holdings' Acquisition of SmartApp As a Subsidiary

SBI Holdings provides crypto-asset exchange services through SBI VC Trade and TaoTao, and art auction services focusing on contemporary art through SBI Art Auction.

SmartApp is the first integrated NFT trading platform in Japan enabling the primary and secondary transactions of NFTs.

On September 30, 2021, SBI Holdings announced its acquisition of SmartApp as a subsidiary. SmartApp is now renamed SBI NFT.


■ Partnership between Startbahn and SBI Holdings

In 2019, SBI Holdings invested in Startbahn through SBI Investment. Since then, Startbahn and SBI Art Auction have formed a strategic partnership to revitalize the art market with blockchain technology.

In the future, Startbahn and SBI NFT will cooperate to expand NFT business.
