(Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Kazuo Takahashi, hereinafter Tokyu), to enter effect in 2023. Startrail PORT services will be used on all artworks exhibited in Tokyu’s “Art Valley”, with physical art installations launched on Friday, January 6th 2023.

On January 6, 2023, Tokyu introduced a new art platform called "Art Valley." It provides opportunities for showcasing and celebrating the artist's work in physical and digital spaces, as well as curating artworks. Art Valley uses SRRs (NFTs issued by Startrail PORT) to secure the authenticity, NFT management, and provenance of both physical and digital artworks through blockchain technology. Besides a public installation, Tokyu is developing a significant artistic urban project that will display art and artists along the Tokyu train line via social media and e-commerce channels.


■ About “Art Valley”

On January 6, 2023, Tokyu launched "Art Valley," the 7th project in its "in-house entrepreneur training system." The new art platform business is designed for the creative industries and provides opportunities for both curating and showcasing artworks, as well as profiling the artist's work in both physical and digital spaces..

From January 23 to April 22, 2023, exclusive artworks and QR codes will be displayed in the atrium glass surrounding the Hikarie ticket gate at Shibuya Station on the Tokyu Line. This project allows Tokyu to bridge the physical and digital art world by offering the chance to purchase digital artworks via the Art Valley e-commerce website, an experience that cannot be obtained through other platforms or websites.

With "Art Valley," users can easily view and buy art, while artists have the opportunity to interact directly with users and build a creative community. The use of SRRs (NFTs issued by Startrail PORT) ensures that the provenance, NFT management, and authenticity of artworks are secured through blockchain technology. Tokyu is also planning a large-scale artistic urban project, showcasing artists and artworks along the Tokyu train line via social media and e-commerce access points.
