Startbahn, Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Taihei Shii, hereinafter “Startbahn”) will provide its “FUN FAN NFT” service and technical support for the issuance and distribution of “Panda Bamboo NFTs” as part of the “Panda Bamboo Project,” a joint initiative by Kishiwada City and Adventure World (operated by AWS Co., Ltd.).

This initiative is carried out as part of efforts to make effective use of bamboo consumed by giant pandas. By utilizing NFTs, the project aims to create new forms of ongoing engagement and build continuous touchpoints between the region and its visitors.

■ Background of the Panda Bamboo Project and NFT Utilization

Kishiwada City and Adventure World signed an “SDGs Partnership Agreement” in 2020 and have since been advancing the “Panda Bamboo Project,” which promotes the effective use of bamboo eaten by giant pandas.

Although the pandas returned to China at the end of June 2025, the project continues. As part of these ongoing efforts, Kishiwada City and Adventure World will issue “Panda Bamboo NFTs” to foster new forms of regional engagement.

Startbahn will provide the NFT framework that connects real-world and digital experiences, offering technical support to expand the value of regional resources through digital means.

■ Overview of Free Distribution of Panda Bamboo NFTs and Related Initiatives

From February 1 (Sun) to March 29 (Sun), 2026, “Panda Bamboo NFTs” will be distributed free of charge at multiple locations. NFT holders who visit designated spots will be eligible to receive additional NFTs and bamboo-themed goods as special rewards.

Distribution Locations:

• Kishiwada City Hall (Main Entrance)

• In front of the Bamboo Art installation at Adventure World

• Momoyama Gakuin University

• Wakayama University

*The free distribution of the “Rauhin” panda NFT at Adventure World will be available until February 28 (Sat).
From March 1 (Sun) onward, visitors will be able to obtain a “Panda Bamboo Art” NFT instead.
*An admission ticket to Adventure World is required for NFT acquisition at the park.

● Special Programs for NFT Holders

① Adventure World Linked Campaign
Period: March 1 (Sun) – March 29 (Sun)
Visitors who have obtained a Panda Bamboo NFT and then visit the Bamboo Art area at Adventure World can receive a new Panda Bamboo Art NFT as well as bamboo-themed goods and other benefits.
*An admission ticket is required.

② Gofuso Tea Gathering Linked Campaign
Date: March 14 (Sat)
Visitors who have obtained a Panda Bamboo NFT and attend the “Gofu Tea Gathering” held at Gofuso in Kishiwada City can receive a new NFT as well as bamboo-themed goods and other benefits.
*Admission for observation is free; however, participation in the tea ceremony in the bamboo tea room requires advance registration (details to be announced separately in mid-February).

In this initiative, Startbahn is responsible for providing the NFT issuance infrastructure and designing the NFT acquisition experience. Visitors can obtain NFTs via QR codes displayed on-site, with an intuitive experience that allows participation even without prior knowledge of blockchain or NFTs.
